LEARN TO PLAY

A Beginner Skills Level Clinic is being offered for interested hockey players of any age, male or female.

The Division 3 of the men's league is the Beginner Skills Level Clinic with alternating skills sessions and hockey scrimmages.

The aim of the program is to introduce new players to the game of ice hockey, with a view to developing their skills to the level where they can participate competitively in Division 2 of the National Ice Hockey League (“NIHL”).

Requirements to Join:

Basic Skating Skills (e.g. able to skate unaided)
Ice Hockey Equipment –hockey skates, hockey gloves, helmet, shin pads, pants, elbow pads, stick (Those who are missing equipment may borrow some. First come, first served.)
Course Curriculum:

The course will focus on basic fundamental skills needed to play the game of Ice Hockey such as:

Powerskating
Stickhandling
Passing
Shooting
Game Play and Rules
Each session will incorporate skill development through free flowing, up-beat drills that will teach you how to play like a Pro!
